I needed a quality EDC bag but didn't need any more rucksack style packs and I'm not a fan of the messenger/laptop style so after a lot of research I opted for the MOAB 10 and I have to say I'm impressed with the quality, design layout and features that it offers. IFAK, windshirt, tablet, daily drink and food are easily carried with comfort. Have used it working, on the range and on my mtb without any complaints. Recommended piece of kit!

I've had this bag for about 5 months now. Like nearly all 5.11 products i've used, it is very well made and I imagine will last for years to come. Overall I really like this bag and have found it very useful. The ambidextrous nature of the bag is great and means you can switch shoulders without too much trouble, helping to avoid lopsided shoulder aches! A few things worth bearing in mind. Because it is so well made, and rather comfortable to wear, it is very easy to overload this bag. It can take it, but sometimes you can't! If you're not going to be doing long distances then its not a problem but its worth bearing in mind. I often use this when on my bike and its great for ease of getting the bag on and off, swinging to the front if i need access to it without taking it off. However, it does also swing around to the front sometimes when you don't want it to (getting on and off a bike!) not a big issue, but wearing a sling bag can take some getting used to. I was sold on the Rush tier system and was excited to clip this onto my Rush 72 for a long train journey back home with several stops. However, the bag itself is already quite large and joining it to another big bag just isnt realistically practical. You end up with your centre of gravity too displaced even for short changing train walking! I ended up wearing the moab on my front and rush72 on my back, tiering them isnt that great. Maybe to a smaller bag (or tiering the moab 6 to a bigger bag?). But if both bags a re packed full, it doesnt really work. Another thing to bear in mind is that when the main compartment and organiser pocket of the moab 10 are both full, accessing the hidden CCW pocket (which in the UK, I use for maps etc not guns!) is quite difficult. The load capacity of this bag is surprisingly good, I've carried a laptop, ipad, and change of clothes plus extras before. Also bear in mind using the hydration pouch at the back significantly reduces the loadspace in main pocket, and also the tube is difficult to manoeuvre around sunglasses pocket. All in all I am happy with this bag, and would recommend it..but the search for the perfect bag.....continues!

Good build quality and a clever design. However it is uncomfortable to wear for longer periods when moderately full and soaks up water like a sponge. It is not marketed as "waterproof" but it could be more water resistant than it is or come with a rain cover...

It's an expensive bit of kit but it's totally worth it. It's rugged and more than capable of carrying your EDC gear and a laptop if you need to. One word of warning, it's not at all waterproof (not that it ever professes to be), so if you're stuck in the rain, you may want to ensure it's properly covered up. All in all, an awesome bag and highly recommended.

I purchased this bag as I wanted a smaller one than my Rush 24, one that I have been using constantly for about 5 years. Sometimes I wanted something a bit more compact for everyday carry items, plus a few work items. I have just returnd from a holiday abroad and used the bag as my cabin luggage, beach bag, kiddie bag (nappies, food, change of clothes etc). It proved a great versatile bag and I can see that it will become another much used item from 5.11. If you need extra space, simply add a pouch to the molle on the outside.

Great quality material, easy to adjust and plenty of organisational space inside. Ideal as a daysack or EDC bag. It does tend to rub a little across the chest, especially if it's got some heavy stuff in it so a more padded strap might be an improvement. Overall, very happy with the bag and service from nightgear. I'll definitely be buying from here again and will definitely consider more 5.11 gear.

I've had the occasion to put this bag to the test during a rainstorm. the waterproofing did good enough for my tastes. I must admit the inside of the bag got a little moist, but it's nothing compared to the huge amount of water the bag had to withstand. The bag is big enough for my tastes, although I would've loved it to be a little deeper. The moltitude of pockets helps me organizing my wares perfectly.

Simple review Great bag, good investment, does what it says on the tin Detailed review I’m an Architect student (not military) who wanted a different style of bag, different to the standard laptop or rucksack bag. Size, DON’T use the pictures as a reference, this bag is a tardis. With up to 6 different compartments you will fit anything and everything you’ll need. The main compartment is deep enough to hold a 17” laptop and A4 folders/books, inside the front of that same compartment is a full length zipped pocket and Velcro netting where you can store your cables and loose bits. The front pocket which has organises holds all my would be office supplies, my 12” metal rule (no problem), box of drawing compasses, my roll of 24 drawing pencils, pens, erasers, sharpeners and triangles. Both these compartments fully open with 2 way zippers so you can open them like a book to have a look inside. The radio/comms pouch which is sawn onto the carrying strap easily holds my iPhone and I run the headphones from the underside of the pouch, through the molle straps so there’s no cable tangling. Then there’s the water bladder pouch, the sunglasses pouch and the secret pouch. The water bladder holder is positioned between the main compartment and the back plate, it can hold a 1.5ltr bladder fully closed with an outlet for the tube. The sunglass pocket is on the top of the bag next to the grab handle fully lined with a soft inlay. Finally the secret pocket, you don’t know it’s there till you look, is positioned between the front pocket and the main compartment, it runs the full length of the bag and is only closed with a Velcro top, so you could hold what every you didn’t want people to see with easy access. And if that’s still not enough you have molle straps across the back, sides and carrying strap so you can add more pouches for your needs. The bag build is next to none, it looks, feels solid. Ykk repairing 2 way zips all-round, double stitching were its needed and the UTX-Flex buckles clip together with a reassuring “CLUNG”. The carrying strap not only padded for extra comfort, can be used for either left or right shoulder carrying, the buckle not being used can be packed away behind the back plate. And finally this bag can be attached to other molle platforms, bag, body armour via 4 UTX-Flex buckles which comes with the bag. The Price, worth it. Don’t think about it, you will get your money’s worth out of use and I easily expect to get 7 to 10 years use before I ever need to think about repairing or replacing. Or you can buy a cheaper branded bag and replace it next year…

This is a great bit of kit. I have used good bit of kit from 5.11 over the years and I was always impressed by quality and durability of 5.11 products. As a firearms instructor I use this MOAB 10 Bag as First Aid Kit. Its size is just right. Very impressed and Knightgearss service was top notch. Would highly recommend this site for all your tactical needs. KD.

This is a fantastic bag, with every feature you will need, from professional to recreational use. Build quality is exceptionally robust, without a bad stitch or seam in sight, and the quality of the material will undoubtedly withstand a lot of heavy wear. Despite its apparent small size, the MOAB 10 seems to swallow kit with convenient storage for every possible application. It will take an iPad in either the rear hydration pouch (which is reinforced with a plastic stiffening card), or the main compartment. It is covered in MOLLE webbing which, might not appeal to some, is very practical for those of use who use it in a professional role. A final note for new dads. I would seriously consider this as a 'tactical nappy (diaper) bag', as it will take everything you can throw into it and not look overly girley! great service from Nightgear; thanks.

The Moab 10 is a brilliant little bag. I bought it with the intention to expand the capacity of my duty bag by attaching it to my rush 24. It attaches brilliantly and is a lot more secure than I expected. Decent amount of room for various paperwork and FPN's and quick grab kit such as torches and gloves. Plenty of pockets that are available from every angle due to the ambidextrous design of the bag. Not really enough space for a jacket etc, but the intention of it is more along the lines of a grab bag and it works fine for me in that role. Four stars only because I have decided I am not a fan of the sling but that's just personal preference. Maybe I should have decided that before I purchased but even so it complements my needs perfectly and I would definitely recommend it.

Brilliant - very well made, clearly well thought out and designed. Very tough, good strong fittings, very durable. Typical 5.11 standard and quality of build. Very well appointed in terms of its utilisation of space, internal and external pockets, etc. not to mention its ability to be expanded with the use of optional molle pouches, etc. It is also very accessible, even small items are easy to find. A fantastic pack to get all your stuff organised in one place. A narrow, low profile pack, brilliant for use in confined spaces, ease to grap and quick to throw over the shoulder. Stylish looking and not excessively bulky, no excuse not to have it with you all the time. For a single shoulder strap pack this is very comfortable to carry even when heavily loaded - surprisingly. The ambidextrous shoulder strap is also a great advantage. The pack can easily be stabilised during activity with the use of an optional cross strap or belt attached to the many fitted molle/pals loops. A highly recommended pack.
