“The very best trousers ever. A friend and I have been wearing the cotton TDU for years and these are a very welcome lighter addition, same great quality and design. We abuse these items terribly, give them a wash and there they are as new. We look nowhere else than 5.11 for our kit. The Nightgear sales team are a new discovery for me, what a great group of sales pro's that just happen to be just really good people as well. If they can keep a sense of humour after my dumb enquiries they are keepers. ”

“The TDU pant is a good old 5.11 design, based on the standard US BDU pant, but with none of the bad bits. Very sold and well made, If you have a reasonably sized backside and hips you'll want to upsize as these are tight on there, the elasticated waist takes a bit of getting used to, but it does make it very hard for these pants to migrate when you're bending over or moving around. The teflon coating is good, but wears off quickly. The do dry very fast through so that's not that bigger deal. These have cords at the ankles, but if you don't like blousing them up military style, just tie the cords together and they'll work fine, Although keep in mind that blousing them keeps the bottom of the trouser out of the mud and snow and helps reduce wear and tear. The knee pads are a great extra, just remember to take them out before you wash the pants! Getting them back in can be fiddly, I role them up and then push them in, that works OK, but remember to build a bit of time in for that. The knee pads help keep the you legs warm, they stop cold transmitting through the material if you kneel down, and help with that wet knee feeling that everyone hates! All round these are a great buy and very, very versatile. ”

“Excellent pants with good fit. I bought this type of pant five years ago and they are still not worn out. What I like most is that the pant is quite elegant and it is not as lose as many other "military type" pants. I noticed that the TDU pant I ordered last week is slightly slimmer compared with my five year old pant. 5.11 seems to have done some alterations over the lats years and that can meen that if you had a medium size before you need to change to large this time. A favourite!!! ”
